I am happy to report that Natalie loved her first day of Kindergarten and excitedly went back for her second day today. Delaney and I aren’t quite sure what to do with ourselves! We have a few weeks before preschool starts, so we can ease into this new schedule.
Of all the photos we took, I think this one is my favorite — Natalie talking to her Grammy on the phone, telling her in great detail about her first day. I couldn’t help but notice how grown-up she is!
I did manage to complete one mommy project on my list — cloth napkins to tuck in the girls’ lunch boxes this year:
Since it still seems like summer, these summer fruits are perfect. I am planning to make some other seasonal/holiday ones, plus a special birthday one. The girls will use these for meals at home, too.
Have a great day!

I love those napkins, however I don’t know how to sew. Any suggestions for learning?
Hooray for a fun first day of school! :0)
And I love your photos….your pictures are always so bright and colorful, crisp and professional!
I have basic sewing skills and would love to know how you made the napkins!
What kind of material did you use? I’ve been wanting to make some cloth napkins for home, never thought about it for lunch boxes!
yeah how did you make the napkins?
