Shape People

by Amy on September 24, 2008

My clever 5-year-old created some adorable “shape people” with stamps and crayons.

Both of the girls have been enjoying these outline shape stampers.  The handles make them so easy to use, and I like that the outlined image encourages coloring and embellishing.

I think a family portrait of shape people is our next stamping project!

Happy Creating!

I love this! We have a puzzle with big shapes that have big knobs on them. I’m thinking we’ll try tracing around the shapes to make “shape people.”
Thanks for the idea – I’ll let you know how our version turns out.

We ordered these and my kids love them! I really liked that they are outlines and they can color in them too. My only complaint is the stamp pads that I ordered with them. They work well but are not washable. Even with Oxyclean I couldn’t get the blue out of our clothes. Of course, my kids get a little crazy with art supplies, so most people my not have this problem. It did was off their skin fine with soap and water.

Hi Michelle — That is a bummer about the ink pads and your clothes! The ink is washable off skin, but is not guaranteed to wash out of fabrics. Thanks for the feedback – I will be sure to make this more clear in our product description. :) Amy
