I am so pleased with how this art display turned out! I saw the idea in the October issue of Family Fun Magazine. They had taken some mismatched frames (without glass), painted them all red, and hung them in a grouping on the wall. My hubby was nice enough to build me a few frames and spray paint them (in American Traditions apple green spray paint from Joann’s). Each frame has a small nail with a binder clip hanging from it, so we can change our display as much as we want!
What fun ways do you display your kiddo’s art work?

great idea, thanks for sharing!
Wow. This is something I’m brainstorming about right now too. I just framed two pics this weekend, and was going to find a couple more frames for some recent art that I love — but I want to come up with a more permanent way of rotating artwork (if that makes any sense). I want kind of a gallery look, but something that can be changed almost weekly. Your idea may be just what I’m looking for. What room in your house is this display in?
So adorable!
What a great idea! I might just have to try that! Unfortunately here we are pretty dull. Our art work spends time on the fridge.
Oh how fun! I need to come up with a new way to display my daughters art. We love your site!
What a great idea.
We use a string and colorful mini-clothepins they sell for craft purposes to hang our artwork.
fantastic! love it! thanks for sharing!
Hi! I followed the link from Crafty Crow and so happy I did, this is a great idea, thanks for passing it along!
Love it and have been planning it on it since I saw the October issue. Thanks so much for listing the color, brand and where to get the paint. I wish more blogs would do that!
I LOVE this idea! Thanks for sharing, I am so going to do this!
Those are really really cute and really really creative. And you can change what you display so easily!
i’ve been debating over painting over this huge chalkboard on my wall…to do just this! i don’t have much wall space and really wanted to display my kids artwork. i have a box of frames in the attic…not to mention all the ones i’ve collected along the way at yard sales. by golly, i think you’ve convinced me! thx for sharing.
I love your art gallery. I am in the process of putting one together for our home so I love new ideas. I’m thinking of putting it in our living room and using a seasonal theme.
I, too, saw this idea in Family Fun and liked it. I collected old frames from garage sales, painted them red, and made a collage of 7 frames on our family room wall. The thing is, I am not very pleased with it. I couldn’t find the right kind of clips, so I bought a different, less user-friendly kind and they are awkward to use. However, you have inspired me again and I am ready to find the right kind of clip and make this project work! Right now I just have 7 empty red frames on the wall, interspersed with family photos in frames. It looks kind of cool, but I want to get the original project finished.
Thanks for the inspiration!
Your gallery looks great!! I did see this in family fun mag. and loved it. Your color selection for your frames is adorable. Interested in exploring your blog more- this is my first time here!
