The girls spent the night at Grammy & Grampy’s last night, so I have had extra relaxing time this morning. Lucky me! Of course, I have been doing a little extra net surfing and found some fun things to do with the girls between now and Thanksgiving.
I printed out a fun Turkey Tic Tac Toe @ the Better Homes & Gardens website. I think I will let the girls each color one, glue them to colored construction paper and laminate. We might use acorns, fall leaf buttons, dried beans, or other fun things as markers. The BHG site also has some printable place cards and coloring pages, along with other crafts and recipes for Thanksgiving.
We are big fans of Starfall! Delaney learned how to use the mouse by working with the alphabet chart, and Natalie is enjoying progressing through all the stories. I never noticed the fun interactive stories for the holidays, including Silly Turkey, Gingerbread Man, and Make a Snowman. Fun!
I’m going to gather up the supplies to make these cute Clay Pot Turkeys. I think they would look adorable as centerpieces this year!
We love learning new rhymes and songs, especially new words set to familiar tunes. Here’s a great selection of Thanksgiving Songs & Rhymes @ Preschool Express.
On another note, I wrote a post at Blissful Kids today on Making Playtime Menus. The girls are planning to make Thanksgiving menus this year – I think Natalie’s will mostly consist of pumpkin pie, pumpkin pie, and more pumpkin pie!
Have a lovely Tuesday!

I love starfall too! I’m going to have to check out the better homes and gardens site, for some thanksgiving crafts. Me and my girls were looking for something fun to do as well.
Thanks for the ideas.
Thanks for mentioning Starfall, I’m going there right now
My 5 year old, the Frog Princess, LOVES Starfall. She plays on it in computer lab at school and we did it here at home all summer. Great post. So glad I found your blog!
Thanks so much for the tip on Starfall. I think I’m in love…
