Flower Planting Kit

We are always looking for simple, creative gifts to put together for the many birthday party invitations that arrive in the mail. Natalie and I put this flower planting kit together for two of her friends, and we just love it! Inside an inexpensive terracotta pot (6″) we put: organic potting mix, a packet of flower seeds, a cute trowel, and a strip of paints + paintbrushes for decorating the pot. Everything was purchased at Target and each gift cost under $10. I tied a piece of fabric around the pot, and Natalie added a little tag to the shovel. No wrapping required!

What’s your go-to birthday gift lately?

I love this idea also! We have been giving Books and Kites, hoping for spring also! I love this gift though, we are looking forward to our garden this summer, so it would be fun to share that with others.

Love this gift idea…I think I’ll use it for some special May Day baskets!! We love to get a cheap purse/bag and fill it the lip gloss, hair bows (we make), brush, note pad/pencil, gum, and a home made card. Again no gift wrapping needed. The girls love the gift and our daughters always have so much fun picking everything out. We never spend over $10 and if we can find a cheap wallet we add a picture of my daughter (giving the gift) and a dollar bill.

These are absolutely adorable!!! Brilliant thinking Amy. :)

I have been making aprons as of late for gifts for the littles. That way when they’re out being creative, helping mama cook, gardening, or whatever their hearts desire, they’re not getting all messy. :)

These would also make a nice themed Easter basket! What a clever idea!

I love this idea. I know what all the young ladies on our upcoming birthday list will be getting this summer.
