What we’re up to…

by Amy on April 30, 2009

My calendar is so full right now, just totally stuffed.  A lot of fun, busy end-of-the-school-year activities coming our way.  I’ve got a few projects and crafts to show you, but no photos taken yet…..soon!  Till then, here are some things we are doing or have added to our to-do list.

While searching the net for homemade instrument ideas, I found this fantastic how-to on making your own balloon drums. Can’t wait to try it!

Natalie is loving these simple how-to-draw lessons at Art Projects for Kids: house, hen & chicks, city buildings.

In the car, we’re listening to the Magic Tree House Collection: Books 1-8 – wonderfully read by the author, Mary Pope Osborne.

I am *loving* the felt flower brooches at Roots and Wings Co.  So, so cute and made with a child’s drawing of a flower.  I think the girls should help make me some for Mother’s Day!

Wow! I’ve always loved your site. How exciting to come here and see that you liked something I made with my kids. I’ve been wearing my 3 year old’s broach for the last week. I love making things with my kids and showing it off. It was supposed to be something to make for Mother’s Day, but I couldn’t come up with anything else that my 6 year old wanted to make his teacher. So it became a teacher gift;)

Thanks so much for the mention!! Very exciting for me;) I would love to see if anyone else finds my little tutorial useful.

Okay, I was going to make some fabric flower pins for mother’s day. But now I am totally doing the kid drawn version! That is way cuter!

What a great list of activities. We’ll have to try out the flower brooch. We love listening to Magic Treehouse in the car and we’ve also been doing several of the simple drawing projects from Art Projects for Kids.
