We’ve got some new kids music on constant play around here – Say Hello to the Sun by Cathy Heller. I’m not sure how I stumbled onto her website, but I’m SO glad I did! Cathy’s CD is full of fun, pop-style songs with positive, affirming lyrics for kiddos (and adults!). My six-year-old says the music sounds “more grown-up” and my ten-year-old niece thinks the music is “cool!”
After listening to some of the other popular “tween” songs on my niece’s iPod, I was very happy to find some appealing, upbeat music that does not refer to boyfriends and relationships and breaking-up and being in love. Cathy’s feel-good songs are positive without being preachy – and they are just fun to sing and dance to!
