My girls loved staying up late on our recent camping trip, waiting for the sky to fill with stars. They have since been inspired to create piles of beautiful night sky artwork.
With a stack of black construction paper and any (or all!) of these materials, have fun exploring and creating – my girls love to see what ‘shows-up’ the best on the black paper!
- white or metallic crayons
- construction paper crayons
- glow-in-the-dark shapes, star gems, or star stickers
- gel markers
- oil pastels
- glitter glue pens
- white glue + glitter shaker
- colored paper, for tearing or cutting moons, planets, etc.
This is a great open-ended project that toddlers and up can enjoy. We have made some of our completed artwork into bookmarks and telescopes – just roll the paper into a tube and tape closed.
Happy playing!
