The girls and I are having a great time playing with the new Animalogic game from Fat Brain Toys. The game comes with 16 wooden animals, a game board, and a book of challenges (with a range of difficulty). The object of the game is to help all the animals cross the river by leaving the game board one at a time. First, set-up your animals by following the picture in the challenge book:
Begin removing animals from the board by following two simple rules: color follows color and species follows species. So, if your first animal off the board is a yellow hippo, you can choose something yellow or another hippo to follow. The animals have to stay in their rows, and you cannot jump over another animal to get off the board.
Animalogic can be played by one person, but a little teamwork is fun too! My girls really dig logic games like this, plus I have seen the little animals being played with outside the game. A very fun way to build critical thinking skills!

perfect! i’m desperate for good ideas for xmas presents for my little ones who seem to have everything!
I have this on our list of possible Christmas gifts. It looks like lots of fun.
I have made a note of this game and it will be one that I will look into buying when my children are a little older.
After reading your list poem post (a little while ago) we finally created some this morning. I will post our poems on my blog hopefully over the weekend, or early next week. One of our poems was a list poem and the other one I used sentence starters. I think such poems are beautiful keepsakes and thank you so much for inspiring me to do this.
For Christmas we are going to make some list poems for Grandparents and Aunties. I think it would be so special for these relatives to receive a poem about them written by my little three year old girl.
THis looks like fun! I think I’ll add this to O’s Christmas wish list for her grandparents.
I have been looking for some great logic games and this is the best! Thanks!
I couldn’t resist! I ordered this from you for Kiddo’s Christmas present since it is a tradition for Santa to bring a game. It’s waiting in the closet (I mean the North Pole) for Christmas morning. And wow, I can’t believe how fast it came! Thanks!
