I was browsing through some old Christmas photos (look at little 3-year-old Natalie!) and found some pictures of these cute reindeer cookies we made. This was obviously a time in my life prior to blogging, because I didn’t even take a dozen close-ups of the finished cookies! They are simple, though – I think you’ll get the basic idea from the photos!
Supplies:
- Cookie dough: store bought or homemade, any flavor! We used sugar cookies, but gingerbread would be fun, too!
- Pretzel twists
- Chocolate chips
- Red M&Ms
Start with a round cookie shape and pinch the middle gently to create the face shape. Add eyes, antlers, and Rudolph’s shining red nose! Bake according to your recipe’s directions.
I think we’ll make these again this year!
By the way, I googled “reindeer cookies” to see if I could find where I got the idea, and there are a whole bunch of similar style cookies for your browsing pleasure….
What are your favorite kid-friendly holiday cookies to make?
Happy Baking!

They are very cute reindeer cookies and I am sure my children would get a kick out of making and eating them.
A really easy, child friendly recipe we recently tried was making salt dough ornaments. They were a lot of fun to make and we had a great time decorating them. I wrote a blog post about them here:

Super cute–and kid-friendly! Isn’t surprising how a relatively simple “design” can make something so darn cute?!?
Those. Are. Adorable!!!!
Just discovered “Oreo Balls”. My kids like to pulse the food processor and help roll the balls.
