We had a pretty mellow week… The girls did a lot of playing, putting together elaborate “set-ups” (as they call them). Blocks and fairies and playsilks and train tracks and boxes and whatever else got in their paths!
I gave a little kindergarten readiness talk at our old preschool stomping grounds. I miss being there! I’ll be sharing some of my favorite tips over the next few weeks. You might also want to check out all my previous posts on kindergarten prep – lots of fun stuff for learning through play:

I finished reading a wonderful middle-grade book, Ida B by Katherine Hannigan. The main character, Ida B, has such a wonderful voice and there’s a pretty awesome teacher character in the book as well. I read it in a few hours, then sent it off in the mail to my 5th-grade niece. I hope she loves it as much as I did!
That’s about all the excitement around here this week. We get to watch Natalie at ice-skating lessons tonight – it’s her fourth lesson and she is totally in love with skating!
Have a wonderful weekend!
