Happy Monday! I spent the weekend working on the girls’ Halloween costumes. We’re going mostly handmade this year, which is fun and a little nerve-wracking for this beginner-level sewer. So far, so good – we’re keeping it simple! I’ll share some pictures this week.
How about you? Do you buy or make costumes for your kiddos?
Enjoy this week’s Playful Picks!

What We’re Reading

We picked up the latest Elephant and Piggie book on our last trip to the bookstore – We Are in a Book! What will happen when Elephant and Piggie realize they are being read? Lots of giggles, that’s for sure!
My girls have been using the Elephant and Piggie books as scripts for two-person performances – great fun! Plus, the teacher in me loves the way these books lend themselves to expressive, fluent reading.
Hope you have a wonderful week!

We don’t own any E&P, but we always seem to have at least 3 of them out from the library. I think mostly because my son can find them himself. He reads them to himself, but he LOVES it when he’s Elephant (and the worms or the squirrels) and I’m Piggie. Or vice versa. I will have to look for this new one. I don’t know if you guys still do picture books, but I just saw Knuffle Bunny Free in the bookstore.
We love Knuffle Bunny, too! We haven’t read the new one yet – definitely need to check it out!
I am working on making my kiddos into cowboys.
