Happy Monday! I hope all you mamas had a fabulous Mother’s Day. One of my girls is under-the-weather, but I enjoyed a relaxing day at home. I even fit in some fun sewing time, just for me.
Enjoy this week’s picks!

What We’re Reading
Lady Lollipop by Dick King-Smith is one of our favorite recent read-aloud chapter books. We fell in love with the clever pig Lollipop and her equally-clever keeper, Johnny Skinner, as they taught spoiled Princess Penelope about manners, patience, and friendship.
This is a well-written, funny, and engaging read – highly recommended!
Another fun read with a pig as the main character is Welcome to the Bed & Biscuit by Joan Carris. The girls loved this book – talking animals with unique personalities, lots of humor, and a little bit of mystery made it an enjoyable read-aloud.
This is also a good beginner chapter book for independent reading. We are looking forward to reading the next two books in the series: Wild Times at the Bed & Biscuit and Magic at the Bed & Biscuit.

Thanks for your list. Even though my kids are a little older than yours, I always get some good ideas, especially books.
Thanks, Sheila! Have a great week!
