What We’re Reading
Julie Andrews’ Treasury for All Seasons: Poems and Songs to Celebrate the Year
Selections by Julie Andrews and Emma Walton Hamilton
We gifted this book to a special toddler for Christmas. Of course, we had to give it a good preview first! Poems and songs, organized by month, are paired with gorgeous, joyful watercolor illustrations by Marjorie Priceman.
The collection of poems is a good mix of classics, by poets like Whitman and Dickinson, and modern favorites, like Jack Prelutsky. Highly recommended for your family library!
“Be glad of life because it gives you the chance to love, to work, to play, and to look up at the stars.”
~Henry Van Dyke
