About

Hi there and welcome to Let’s Explore!

If you are looking for some fun activities to do with your kids, you’ve come to the right place!  As a mom and teacher, I am passionate about providing children with oodles of time to play, play, play. I hope you will find ideas here that will encourage you to create, discover, build, experiment, and connect with your kiddos.

As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “It is a happy talent to know how to play.” I couldn’t agree more!

Wishing you and your child many happy moments playing together.

Hi Amy,

First off, I love that Emerson quote, I think I’ll use it for our site! I’m contacting you because your post on “Taking Dictation” really resonated with an app we’re developing.

The broad goal of it is to get preschoolers to create more stories. Do you think you could tell me what the 3 greatest hurdles to doing this were for your kids? Also, out of tremendous curiosity, how old were they when their first story came tumbling out?

Many thanks for writing the post: I’m sure you inspired a lot of parents to unleash some more creativity in their kids!

Cheers,
Natasa
